The Sand Creek Summer Daze Festival is an “end of summer” dynamic festival, encouraging Harvey County residents to celebrate and discover numerous fun and enjoyable events bundled together in one weekend on the banks of Sand Creek. Events during the festival will range from entertaining to deliciously delectable, as well as competitive to educational. The festival boasts multiple stage concerts and individual music performances. For those who have a competitive streak, events include sand volleyball, cornhole or life size human foosball tournaments. For a splash of summer coolness, you can engineer, build and try to float your own cardboard boat or master the perfect belly flop to be a champion. Enjoy casually strolling through the festival grounds to watch artists create murals featuring the beauty of the Sand Creek and the Newton area or reminisce with classic cars during our car show. Treat your taste buds with great food and beverages of all types or simply take a rest and watch a “heated” ice cream eating contest with free ice cream for all afterward. And to “top” the festival off, ascend upwards in a hot air balloon to overlook the city! Sand Creek Festival, Inc. is a 501c3 originated in 2017 in order to promote and establish this fun, endearing and educational community-based festival.
