Harvey County Health Department is your go-to place for WIC (USDA’s Women, Infants and Children) nutrition education program, updating immunizations, getting a child car seat checked, and for starting up a child care center or day care. This is where disease investigations happen so we can reduce potential outbreaks and you can learn about being prepared in an emergency.

We are protecting the community’s health.

Did you know the health department is home of the Healthy Harvey Coalition and brought more than$1.8 million in 2017-18 to Harvey County? The Harvey County Farm & Food Council and, Walk & Roll Harvey, and WorkWell Harvey County, support for worksite wellness programs, are also housed here.

If you want more people to consider living in a particular location, you need a welcoming community with places to walk and and bicycle safely, create an ease to access healthy foods and medical care, and support with services.  Making Harvey County healthier by investing today for a healthy tomorrow is what the Harvey County Health Department is doing every day.
