MISSION
The mission of the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce is to lead, support and influence economic vitality.
VISION
The vision of the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce is economic vitality through a relevant and proactive business community.
WHAT IS THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?
- A non-profit member organization comprised of nearly 400 businesses, organizations, professionals and individuals.
- A voice and advocate for businesses and the citizens of the Newton area.
- A convener/facilitator for leadership and professional development.
HOW IS THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FINANCED?
The Chamber is funded by voluntary member investments based on a fee schedule. Investments are tax-deductible and recognized by the IRS as a legitimate business expense, not as a charitable contribution. Additional non-dues income is generated through periodic activities conducted in recognition of our members and through contracted marketing services to promote business.

Foster Meaningful Collaboration amongst Community Partners

1. Host a series of meetings to develop a shared definition of collaboration and identify some marker of success if collaboration was more present in our community

1. Host a meeting to discuss a shared vision of collaboration
2. Develop a Leadership Initiative in 2016 -
Reenergize the Effects of Networking
Objective :
1. Grow Chamber Membership by 5% in the next year and increase retention rate by 5 %.
2. Evaluate and enhance networking opportunities available for all Chamber members.Action Steps :
1. Educate general public on Chamber value
2. Provide a Hot Topic Luncheon once a quarter
3. Explore Breakfast opportunities
4. Survey membership on reasons of non-renewal of membership
